David Beckham Quits Fashion Label Kent & Curwen As It Reports Losses Of £18 Million

David Beckham has left fashion label Kent & Curwen after it reported losses of £18 million over the last three years. Beckham, 44, stepped away from the British label in November of last year after it was sold to Shandong Ruyi International, a company Vogue Business refer to as ‘the LVMH of China’, for $285 million (£228 million). The retired footballer was paid a reported seven-figure sum to join the brand as a business partner in 2015, in a bid to boost its credentials. His relationship with the brand involved starring in campaigns, supporting the brand at London Fashion Week Men’s shows and more recently product partnerships with The Stone Roses and Peaky Blinders.
