Diesel has unveiled its Holiday 2022 campaign “Life Is A Game.” A collision of proportions, dimensions, bold scale and scenes, the campaign is a collage of images in forced perspective-style photography that is infused with holiday spirit and humor. In keeping with the brand’s “Larger-Than-Life” campaign from Fall/Winter 2022 and its Guinness World Record breaking “largest inflatable sculpture” at the recent SS23 Runway Show, “LIFE IS A GAME” is on par for Diesel’s newest Holiday campaign. It’s like a series of highly stylized and sophisticated internet memes that combine seemingly unrelated images in ironic compositions.
Under the creative direction of Glenn Martens, with art direction by Christopher Simmonds and shot by Sharna Osborne, the campaign showcases select looks from Diesel’s Resort 2023 collection. This includes a variety of products that mix across casual tailoring, party-ready items, giftable accessories, seasonal denim, Diesel’s signature D – Logo pieces, and its newest Protoype-CR sneakers.
The Resort ’23 Collection
Diesel’s Resort Collection for the season is a permanent party, inspired by pop, utility, and denim, the collection turns up the volume on experimentation and responsible innovation made for everybody. Signature pieces have evolved, and new styles are introduced, creating even more chances for play, rebellion, and pleasure.
The Diesel branding embodies playfulness. Diesel logo sweaters are printed on the inside, which appear on the outside, as if the print bleeds. Cargo pants have oversized pockets and there’s fresh functionality in waterproofed denim jackets and coats. Neon sweater dresses are pure pop art in pink, green or lime, while metallic knit and dresses are a new Diesel signature.
