DOCKERS DEBUTS 2024 PRIDE COLLECTION, COLLABORATING WITH ARTIST RAWLEY CLARK

by John Russel Jones

For the ninth year in a row, Dockers is celebrating Pride with an all-new collection. Turning toward its local Bay Area community, Dockers collaborated with artist Rawley Clark (they/them) on a collection that references tenderness, love, community, and support, through ethereal and nature motifs.

The 2024 Dockers Pride collection features five all-gender styles, including two T-shirts, a tank top, a hooded sweatshirt, and pull-on shorts. Specially created graphics for the collection symbolize tenderness and community, sweetness and love, and growth both within and outside of one’s self. The larger of the two graphics is a play on light both externally and within and features irises for strength and hope and tulips for perfect and deep love. The smaller of the two graphics references the cycle of inspiration that exists for Black creatives and features hands and flowers to show support and care.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Rawley found their passion early on with art. As they entered college, art gave them the freedom and space to explore the intersections of their queer identity and Black Womanhood. These central creative themes find themselves all through the artists’ creative process, highlighting the connection between nature and the body. As a painter and illustrator, their work pays homage to their roots as a human, and the earth’s roots that are the foundation of all life.

“With our longstanding support of the LGBTQIA+ community and our love for our hometown, it only made sense to be able to feature an artist like Rawley,” said Nic Rendic, Global Creative Director at Dockers. “Tenderness, love, community, and support is something we all deserve each and every day, and Rawley’s work is the perfect expression of that.”

Alongside the collection, Dockers is honored to continue its long-standing partnership with the Stonewall Community Foundation. For the seventh year running, the company will continue to support SCF throughout 2024 on initiatives that benefit LGBTQIA+ individuals across the nation.

As part of the Levi Strauss & Co. portfolio, the Dockers brand has a rich history of supporting LGBTQIA+ rights dating back to its inception in 1986. LS&Co. was the first prominent business to take action in addressing the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the first Fortune 500 company to extend benefits to same-sex partners. The company continues to support the LGBTQIA+ community through financial commitments and political action in support of same-sex marriage, along with other relevant policy matters. Dockers remains committed to recognizing LGBTQIA+ individuals and supporting their rights to equality in all walks of life.

The Dockers 2024 Pride collection will be available for purchase on Dockers.com starting today.
