DOCKERS LAUNCHES RACQUET CLUB CAPSULE

by John Russel Jones

Tennis has always been synonymous with style, seamlessly blending athleticism and fashion to create the original version of quiet luxury. From the crisp sweaters and white flannels of the 1930s to the classic tennis polos of the ’70s to the edgier styles of the ’90s, tennis is half sport, half fashion show, consistently influencing trends both on and off the court.

Dockers Racquet Club is a special edition capsule inspired by the sport’s edgier fits from the 1990s. The collection features retro-modern tennis shorts, court pants, polo shirts, and tennis-style warm-up jackets, offering a contemporary take on classic racquet club attire.

With a nod to Docker’s heritage in tennis (the brand had a tennis collection in the ’90s), the collection reflects a commitment to versatility, designed for both on-court performance and off-court style. Vibrant hues like green and pink chiffon alongside traditional white and navy add a modern touch to timeless pieces.

“Tennis gear has long been a wardrobe staple,” says Nic Rendic, Global Creative Director for Dockers. “That’s what’s cool about it. You can play in it, but you can also wear it around town. And today there’s a real resurgence going on with tennis, as well as with ‘90s style. So it was the perfect time to create a tennis collection that has the fun vibe of tennis during the ‘90s.”

The Racquet Club collection drops today. See Dockers.com for more information.
