Q: My sales really started to drop off in the latter part of summer. Should I expect an improvement in the fall, or are we in for a slow season?
A: Don’t let a slow summer keep you from making the most of the new fall season. The fall product looks good and consumers are starting to return from late vacations. In fact, we expect menswear to be up 5 percent for the season.
My best advice is to get into marketing mode, push your trunk shows, and stay positive. Really make the most of fall since we could see a slowdown in the spring.
