DRAKE’S RELEASES COLLECTION OF HANDPRINTED SCARVES, POCKET SQUARES WITH STÒFFA
U.K.-based sartorial furnishings and clothing brand Drake’s has announced a new collaboration with menswear indie brand Stòffa on a capsule collection of handprinted scarves and pocket squares.
Methodical control of the printing, dyeing and washing process was instrumental in achieving the different nuances for each colorful accessory. Produced by hand in India in extremely limited numbers using specially carved wood blocks and naturally occurring indigo dyes, no two pieces are identical.
Agyesh Madan, designer and founder of Stòffa, says the dyeing process brings him “back to the act of painting with my hands as a child, watching energy and thought transfer from the hands of dye makers and printers onto a piece of cloth as an expression of culture and beauty.” The collection emulates the city of Jaipur where each piece is created coupled with the thoughtful design and quality behind Stòffa and Drake’s.
The Stòffa for Drake’s collaboration is available now on drakes.com. Scarves retail for $255 and pocket squares for $85.
