British luxury goods brand Dunhill London has appointed Burberry’s former senior vice-president of menswear Mark Weston as its new creative director. Weston replaces John Ray, who departed in January 2016 after three years in the role.

At Burberry, Weston was responsible for developing the company’s product ranges for men, now he will lead all design direction at Dunhill. He will report to Dunhill CEO Andrew Maag, who also joined the company from Burberry in January.

“Mark brings an innate understanding of menswear and product design that will uniquely drive our brand and business growth forward,” said Maag. “I am excited by Mark’s appointment to lead the brand’s creative vision to the future.”

Weston added: “The opportunity to creatively develop and design for the iconic British menswear luxury brand is rare and exciting.”

Weston will present his first collection for Dunhill at London Fashion Week: Men’s in June. It will involve pieces from autumn 2017 as well as the spring 2018 collection.
