DUNHILL TO RELEASE CAPSULE INSPIRED BY WALNUT CAR DASHBOARDS

by Stephen Garner

Dunhill has introduced a new capsule collection inspired by an archival table lighter the British luxury brand once produced and walnut burl car dashboards of the 1980s.

First seen in the brand’s autumn/winter ‘19 runway show in Paris and worn by guest Rami Malek, the Walnut Dash design has been digitally printed onto outerwear including a rain mac and blouson alongside shirting including the new contemporary strap collar shirt.

Re-interpreting the iconic Duke collection, the Walnut Dash design has also been applied to signature Dunhill leather shapes including a briefcase, tote, large folio, and the new phone holder. Made from Italian calfskin, a transparent lacquer is applied to the top of the leather producing a patent finish, unique to this collection.

Ranging in price from $425 to $3,295, the capsule collection will be available in-store and online from September 2019.
