DWYANE WADE FOR VERSACE EYEWEAR: AN ICON OF THE GAME

Celebrated NBA champion and entrepreneur Dwyane Wade continues his relationship with Versace as the face of the brand’s eyewear collection. Wade wears sunglass and optical styles from the latest men’s collection in a series of images and videos in its newest campaign.

The Hall of Famer played at the highest levels of the NBA for sixteen years before retiring in 2019. The New York Times best-selling author, entrepreneur, producer, and philanthropist has built a global lifestyle brand. Wade uses his platform to help advance racial justice and LGBTQ+ equality through The Wade Family Foundation which provides relief to marginalized communities in need.

This latest campaign debuts Versace Profiles, the start of a new project from Versace that shares a more personal look at the talent who stars in the house’s campaigns. Wade was asked to build a personal profile of himself through several items precious to him and to share the stories behind them, all while his physical profile was documented in photographs. Included in Wade’s items are his first NBA championship ring, a camera, and a photo of his daughter, Kaavia.

Wade wore Versace to his enshrinement ceremony into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame earlier this year and is a regular attendee of Versace fashion shows.

“I’m proud to be part of the Versace family, and I’m excited to launch my second eyewear collection with a campaign that’s personal and meaningful,” he said. “Completing your look is all about the details and the new collection reinforces the importance of eyewear as an outfit’s finishing touch.”
