ZegnArt, Ermenegildo Zegna Group’s platform for contemporary art, has just announced the second in its series of Special Projects. Following on from 2012’s art installation “Fabulae Romanae”, ZegnArt have once again commissioned artists Lucy and Jorge Orta to create a second piece for the Group’s Headquarters in Via Savona, Milan. Curated by Maria Luisa Frisa, who also worked on the first project, the project series’ second installment is “an installation and a multi-sensorial performance” including visual, audio and musical elements, and accompanied by a food performance by Michelin star-awarded chef Davide Oldani.

The project will also comprise the production of 500 plates, a limited edition in Royal Limoges porcelain personalized by Lucy + Jorge Orta, inspired by the Archivio Zegna – Fondo Heberlein, and offered to the public for a fund-raising project in cooperation with heritage trust FAI and more specifically for the protection of the Punta Mesco promontory in the province of La Spezia.

Zegna’s Milan headquarters will be filled with scenes designed by the artists to create a forest inspired by Oasi Zegna, a protected park in Trivero, Italy. The floral patterns used will be taken from the Heberlein Archive, a vast textile collection of more than 2,200 volumes that the group acquired in 2011.
