EXECUTIVE MOVES: LET THE SELLING SEASON BEGIN!

by Karen Alberg Grossman

Every great brand knows that it’s only as good as the person who represents it, so brand managers are choosing carefully.

Jim McKenry from Alan Paine has done just that, adding two great professionals to his sales team: Jennifer Clapp (above right) representing the Northeast U.S. and Emily Longo (above left) for the U.S. West Coast.

Jennifer brings an extensive apparel background from her early days at British Apparel, followed by her role as U.S. Sales Manager at Pantherella. She has now created her own company JR Clapp LLC. Along with Alan Paine, she will continue to represent Bresciani, Torino Leather, and Tateossian.

Emily too has an extensive apparel background as U.S. Sales Manager for Derek Rose. She continues in that capacity, taking on additional brands to form Emily Brooke Collective. In addition to Alan Paine, she continues to represent Derek Rose, Bresciani, Tateossian, Tricker’s and Robert Keyte.

Says McKenry, “I’m thrilled that Jennifer and Emily have chosen to join our Alan Paine sales team. They’re both highly respected in our industry and I’m confident that they will continue to grow our Alan Paine brand.”

Up in Canada, Jeff Lowenstein is proud to have added Fly3 to his roster of brands. An on-trend contemporary collection of fabulous sweaters, Fly3 drop-ships from Italy to maintain retailer in-stock programs.

Noting that his Desoto collection of knit shirts is growing nicely, he’s happy to be launching a new modern fit “giving us a shirt that will work well in the Midwest market and in the more traditional stores that cannot sell slim fit. At under $200 retail, these luxury shirts are perfect for the more cautious fall ’24 buying season we’re heading into.”

Jeff is also delighted to be bringing Hiltl pants back to the Canadian market. “This is an upscale European pants collection with an updated fit, attitude, and new in-stock program. I recently returned from their headquarters in Germany and was truly energized by so many innovations.” For more information: jlowenstein@railtowngroup.com
