EXECUTIVE MOVES: NORDSTROM APPOINTS COO, VANS NAMES GLOBAL BRAND PRESIDENT
Nordstrom Appoints Alexis DePree Chief Operating Officer
Nordstrom has named Alexis DePree, chief operating officer of Nordstrom, Inc.
DePree will continue to support supply chain operations, transportation, inventory operations, enterprise operations, and store operations, now with an expanded title that better reflects the breadth of these teams’ work.
With DePree’s support, the company’s teams have made meaningful progress in several areas, including strengthening the supply chain network, dramatically improving speed-to-customer, and reducing costs. The retailer continues to make progress in implementing RFID technology and creating operational consistency across its stores.
DePree joined Nordstrom in January 2020 as executive vice president and chief supply chain officer. Before that, she held senior leadership roles at Amazon and Target. She holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Northwestern University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
VF Corporation Appoints Sun Choe as Global Brand President, Vans
VF Corporation has named Michelle (“Sun”) Choe Global Brand President, Vans, beginning in late July. Choe is a highly accomplished apparel industry executive with nearly three decades of experience leading design and merchandising for renowned global brands, including Lululemon, Marc Jacobs, West Elm, Madewell, Urban Outfitters, Levi’s, and the Gap. She joins VF from Lululemon, where she served as chief product officer for the past seven years, overseeing women’s, men’s, accessories design, merchandising, innovation, product development, and planning and allocation. Sun is recognized for helping to transform Lululemon into a product-led organization, and during her tenure, Lululemon quadrupled revenues and strengthened profitability while expanding into new product lines and geographies.
