FAIR HARBOR OPENS ITS FIRST STORE IN FLORIDA

by John Russel Jones

Sustainable swim and lifestyle brand Fair Harbor has opened its second retail store and its first in Florida. Located inside Downtown Palm Beach Gardens at 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Avenue in Palm Beach, the store offers men’s, women’s, and kids’ swimwear and lifestyle apparel.

The 1,000-square-foot space draws inspiration from its New York SoHo flagship, using the same aesthetic established by interior architect Chris Antista. The new retail store evokes a summer beach house and features special design elements, like a vintage surfboard, whitewashed wood floors, custom-made birch tables, and sundrenched fixtures designed to resemble Delilah, the brand’s beloved vintage orange 1974 Ford Bronco. The retail store will also feature a decorative wall of plastic bottles behind the cash wrap, reflecting the brand’s mission to inspire people to protect the places they love from plastic waste.

The eight year old family brand, launched by siblings Jake and Caroline Danehy, offers men’s swimwear starting at $64, men’s shirting starting at $36, and men’s pants at $74. The boy’s swim styles start at $38. The debut women’s collection launched in April 2022, and consists of tops, leggings, and shorts all starting at $48. This fall, the brand also expanded to include more men’s apparel, including sweaters ($128) and fleece outerwear ($188), which will also be featured in the store.

“We are looking forward to expanding our retail presence and exploring the South Florida market,” says Fair Harbor co-founders Caroline and Jake Danehy. “We see retail as a big opportunity for us—as it’s a living, breathing, representation of our brand. A presence in this beach community will allow us to share more of our Fair Harbor lifestyle with our customers.”

Fair Harbor earned Certified B Corporation status in 2022 and is sold online, in Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, and at more than 250 specialty retailers around the country.
