FALCONER AGENCY SHOWS BEST OF BRITAIN
Some press events are better than others. When it’s about unique, handcrafted items with Royal Warrants and selective upscale distribution, attending these events can be a joy! (Delicious bites and whisky cocktails by Glendronach certainly added to the joy…)
So the Best of Britain party at the Gladson showroom last week was clearly a big success! Featured at the event, Ettinger’s handcrafted leathergoods and travel bags plus their new collaboration with Morris & Company, a legendary interiors firm co-founded by designer and poet William Morris in 1861. The new collaboration features accessories incorporating William Morris’ designs from the Arts & Crafts movement.
An event highlight: Gladson revealed its fabulous new British Collection and recent collaboration with custom clothier Dan Trepanier from Articles of Style. As part of a global textile group that includes HMS International Fabrics and Huddersfield Fine Worsteds, Gladson represents many of the best mills worldwide, including Vitale Barberis Canonico, Carlo Barbera and Ermenegildo Zegna. Their fabrics are beyond exquisite, and custom has clearly become the way to go for discerning gentlemen.
Two brands I didn’t know but was delighted to discover: Tricker’s shoes and boots, meticulously handcrafted with love in their Northampton factory. The company was founded in 1829 and is still owned and operated by the founding family. And, for the pet who has everything, Wrought Iron and Brass Bed (WIBB) showed the most beautiful and irresistible doggie beds, all handmade to custom requirements and guaranteed to last a lifetime. (Also guaranteed to stop traffic in your store!)
Good to see the Brits celebrated. Too often the unsung heroes. Thanks, KAG for “blowing their bagpipes!”
