FALL UNIQLO U COLLECTION TO BE RELEASED NEXT MONTH

by Stephen Garner

Uniqlo said on Monday that it will launch its fall/winter 2021 Uniqlo U collection on Thursday, September 30th.

Designed by artistic director Christophe Lemaire and his Uniqlo R&D team in Paris, the lineup presents clothing for now and the future. Styles for men, women, and kids are designed with thoughtful consideration of every aspect of daily life. Softness and layering feature in versatile pieces for relaxing at home, commuting to work, playing, and walking in the park. Pure form and practical detail offer simple sophistication for any occasion, with refined neutrals, nature-inspired hues and bright accents in a harmonious and calming palette.

Men’s silhouettes draw from archetypal classics, with clean and relaxed shapes such as an A-line, mid-length, single-breasted coat that’s great for commutes, and a casual suit jacket in easy-care flannel.

Women’s styles this season focus on simple elegance infused with practicality. Soft, versatile layers make dressing easy, from a fluid, tapered knit sweater to a chic denim shirt jacket.

New this fall are socks with added HeatTech technology to keep you warm. Chunky high socks for men and women are perfect for relaxing at home or outdoors. Women’s thin ribbed knee-high socks add style to your look.

The Recycled Down Jacket is updated with a new fit. Uniqlo harvested and cleaned the precious down and recycled the fabric from pre-loved garments. The Paris team then developed a new fabric with about 40 percent recycled nylon.

Adding to the kids’ lineup this season are more iconic Uniqlo U styles, sized down and relaxed for freedom of movement and an active lifestyle.
