Luxury Italian eyewear brand L.G.R has launched a new collaboration with renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino, to create The Photographer’s Edition – Inspired by Mario Testino. The limited edition, individually numbered, 500-piece frames will be sold exclusively at LGRWORLD.com from now until September 8.

Bringing eyewear and photography together, the collaboration stems from Testino’s and L.G.R’s appreciation of capturing clear, rich and timeless moments. The sunglasses are made with premimun quality lenses out of the very same mineral glass used in camera lenses. Designed with Testino’s lifestyle in mind, these frames exude practical elegance.

The black and dark havana acetate frames are 100 percent handmade in Italy using traditional methods of craftsmanship. The sunglasses feature polarized lenses containing rare earth elements such as neodymium, which selectively filter color in order to maximize contrast and sharpen vision. The inner polarized film eliminates harmful UV rays, making the eyewear ideal for outdoor activity to accompany a traveler on his endless journey.

The Photographer’s Edition – Inspired by Mario Testino sunglasses retail at $430 with 25 percent of proceeds donated to MATE – Museo Mario Testino, a not-for-profit center based in Lima which Testino established to contribute to Peru through the cultivation and promotion of culture and heritage.
