Feldenkreis Among American Image Honorees
NEW YORK – George Feldenkreis, chairman and chief executive officer of Perry Ellis International, will be among the industry luminaries to be honored at the 29th annual AAFA American Image Awards, to be held the night of May 14 at the Grand Hyatt here.
Feldenkreis, slated to receive the Man of the Year award, is among a field of honorees that also includes Matt Rubel, president and CEO of Payless ShoeSource, Retailer of the Year; Kimora Lee Simmons of Baby Phat, Designer of the Year; and Patricia Field, Fashion Maverick Award.
Jay Manuel will host the event, 40% of the proceeds of which will go to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA).

Rounding out the list of honorees are: New Balance, Innovation in Performance Award; Dany Levy of DailyCandy, Golden Pen Award; and Anna Kournikova, Spirit of a Woman Award, for her efforts on behalf of BGCA.

Recent American Image events have raised close to $5 million, with 40% of proceeds going directly to AAFA’s philanthropic partners.
