GREATS SNEAKERS COLLABORATES WITH HASBRO’S MONOPOLY

For those of us who just always seem to lose at Monopoly, Brooklyn-based sneaker brand Greats is collaborating with the iconic American board game on a Holiday 2022 release that’s better than a Get Out of Jail Free card.

The Greats x Monopoly two-piece collection includes limited edition styles of the brand’s Royale sneaker and Foster slipper, reimagined in an eye-opening, utilities-inspired Monopoly yellow, with black embroidered details. Each style also includes custom Royale Monopoly game pieces and arrives in a custom Greats x Monopoly gameboard shoebox featuring key neighborhoods and streets from the company’s hometown of Brooklyn. The Greats x Monopoly collection launches today, November 30, 2022, on greats.com.

Both styles feature embroidered utilities icons on tonal yellow chrome-free leather uppers, each branded with “Utilities Included.” The shoes also feature a bloom algae foam footbed, stiffeners made from garment waste. The Royal sneaker ($189) has a custom outsole with the signature Greats tread pattern, made with 20% recycled rubber. The Foster slipper ($99) features a sawtooth outsole, also made with 20% recycled rubber. Both styles come with the Token Keychain and the Brooklyn-inspired Monopoly box.
