HARLEY DAVIDSON AND WHITE’S BOOTS DROP LIMITED EDITION HANDCRAFTED BOOT

by John Russel Jones

Harley-Davidson’s latest collaboration is with White’s Boots, a handcrafted leather boot company based in Spokane, Washington. Together, they’ve created a limited-edition Engineer Boot, blending White’s legendary craftsmanship with Harley-Davidson’s bold style.

White’s Boots is said to have gotten its start when Edward White established a one-man shoe shop in Connecticut before the Civil War. He was the first of three generations of bootmakers spanning from 1853 to 1972. Edward taught his son, John, who followed opportunity to the Shenandoah Valley. John taught his son, Otto, an innovator of the trade, who mastered the hand-welted work boot and led the company until 1972. The company, always led by a trained bootmaker, is now renowned for its 150-year tradition of hand-sewn construction.

Starting today, the Engineer Boot is an exclusive two-tone style made in the USA with White’s renowned stitch-down construction. Built for a lifetime, it’s fully rebuildable and crafted from the finest leather components to ensure unmatched comfort and durability, improving with age. With only 200 pairs produced, each boot is hand-stamped with a unique serial number and retails for $699 at Harley-Davidson.com.
