American clothing maker Hart Schaffner Marx, showcased its autumn/winter collaboration with designer David Hart on Thursday, February 1 at Cooper Classics. The collection is proudly made in U.S.A. and celebrates 130 years of men’s fashion.
The brand displayed an impressively styled curation of men’s suits, tuxedos, jackets, vests, outerwear and accessories in rich hues, earth tones and pops of color, many derived from America’s classic cars from the 1970’s such as cherry red and hugger orange. This season’s fabrics are imported from Italy and include flannel plaids and stripes complemented by velvet and satin accents.
“The collection is inspired by icons of the American motor industry: The Mustang, GTO, Charger, and the Camaro,” said Hart. “These cars are the perfect marriage of performance and style, and this is reflected throughout the collection. Power suits are key this season, and we’ve updated them in bold plaids, checks, and stripes.”
Added Nick Woodhouse, president and CMO of ABG, owner of Hart Schaffner Marx. “We are an iconic American menswear brand designed and manufactured in the U.S.A. and we are committed to providing customers with high quality, tailored apparel.”
