HUGO BOSS DEBUTS COLLECTION SELECTED BY SHOHEI OHTANI
Los Angeles Dodgers star player and Boss brand ambassador Shohei Ohtani will debut his personal edit of Boss Menswear favorites for Spring/Summer 2025.
Boss Selected by Shohei Ohtani includes high-quality performance pieces, baseball-inspired styling, and timeless essentials hand-picked by Ohtani from the Boss Spring/Summer 2025 Menswear collection. Capturing his elevated, no-fuss, functional aesthetic for life beyond the baseball field, the edit of 24/7 looks includes Boss Performance tailored pieces in dark green, a range of soft jersey essentials in neutral hues, casual stand-collar shirting, and two practical yet elegant outerwear options. Accessories include bags and sneakers in woven calfskin leather.
The edit also includes two custom-designed pieces inspired by Ohtani’s personal style. The hero piece, a limited-edition bomber jacket in cotton-cashmere with suede sleeves in off-white and beige tones, is embellished with Boss, baseball, and Shohei Ohtani-themed patches in tonal embroidery. A coordinating pair of smart-casual trousers rounds out the custom-designed look. A tribute to the timeless aesthetics of baseball, the garments can be mixed and matched with the rest of the Boss Spring/Summer Menswear lineup.
“I’m proud to collaborate with Boss for their upcoming Spring/Summer collection. We’ve chosen pieces, like the custom bomber jacket, that merge my passion for baseball with my own personal style,” says Ohtani.
Boss rolled out the campaign to coincide with the Japanese 2025 Major League Baseball Season opening game by Ohtani’s team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, who took on the Chicago Cubs at the Tokyo Dome yesterday (the Dodgers beat the Cubs, 6-3).
The campaign includes studio portraits and short films. Starting on March 10, large-scale advertisements featuring the imagery began appearing in key locations throughout Tokyo, from Haneda Airport’s international arrival concourse to Tokyo Dome City—the venue of the opening game—to Metro M Korakuen Station and around Shibuya Station. Custom-wrapped taxis featuring in-vehicle digital signage brought the campaign to the streets of Tokyo.
In the retail space, Boss Store Ginza will promote the selection with larger-than-life window displays. Meanwhile, over 50 Boss stores across Japan will showcase the edit, and dedicated pop-ups will appear at the department stores Ginza Mitsukoshi in Tokyo, Matsuzakaya in Nagoya, and Daimaru in Kobe.
Worldwide, the Boss and Shohei Ohtani campaign will be featured on social media, including exclusive behind-the-scenes insights, including a capture of the baseball star’s first look at his custom-designed bomber jacket.
Boss Selected by Shohei Ohtani launches today, and will be available in stores, on Boss.com, and through wholesale partners.
