Jonathan Saunders Is Closing Shop, Ending A Colorful Run

Jonathan Saunders, the Scottish designer famed for his colorfulprints and streamlined elegant designs, is stepping down as creative director at his eponymous label, citing “personal reasons” for the decision. As a result, the London-based brand will close, less than a year after recruiting both a new investor and chief executive. Mr. Saunders and his partner, Eiesha Bharti Pasricha, an Indian businesswoman who took a stake in the label in January, made the announcement on Tuesday.
