K-SWISS UNVEILS WIZARDING WORLD-INSPIRED SHOE

Famed sneaker brand K-Swiss, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will unveil a new Wizarding World-inspired unisex shoe, the Harry Potter x K-Swiss Firebolt Hypercourt Express 2, later this month. It will retail in the U.S. for $119.95.

This limited-edition model draws creative elements from the famed Harry Potter broom’s black bristles, silver footholds, and wood grain. A Durawrap Flex synthetic molded upper is crafted in a combination of matte and shiny black, while the heel and tongue are designed in patent leather. Gold-printed logos and a Surgelite midsole wrapped in woodgrain print complete the sneaker.

In addition, the shoe comes packaged in a special-edition box and will come wrapped in tissue paper that is inspired by the famed wizarding world newspaper, “The Daily Prophet.”

Purchasers must be a registered member of the Harry Potter Fan Club to order the sneaker, which becomes available from July 23. Meanwhile, Gold members will get an exclusive 24-hour early access window starting on July 22 and can save 20 percent off the purchase price as well as other products in the Wizarding World online shop.

  1. I have always loved and respected clever marketing and product development. This is both creative and clever – and I’m sure it will have a wide market of Harry Potter Fan Club members — I predict soon it will be available to the non-members too.

    I just love this in every way. Harry Potter never grows old or gets old — there is always a new fan-base that creates a base of new customers.
