A photography exhibition covering Karl Lagerfeld’s photographic career will open on June 14 at the Palazzo Pitti in Florence to coincide with Pitti Uomo 90. Curated by Eric Pfrunder and Gerhard Steidl, Karl Lagerfeld_Visions of Fashion will feature snapshots and fashion shoots published in the world’s most important fashion magazine as well as other shots inspired by classical mythology. In addition, it will feature some never before shown images.
The exhibition will start from the grand staircase and wind its way through the rooms of the Galleria Palatina, the Sala Bianca and the two rooms of the Appartamenti degli Arazzi, with a continuous dialogue between the sizes of the pictures and the exhibition areas.
This event is being made possible thanks to the three-year cooperation agreement signed between the Fondazione Pitti Immagine Discovery and the Gallerie degli Uffizi, with the support of the Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana and Pitti Immagine.
