KINROSS REFINES ITS COLLECTION FOR FALL 2020

by Stephen Garner

Knitwear company Kinross has gone all out for its fall/winter 2020 collection.

Debuting this weekend at Project, the collection features fresh items and new colorways with the same luxury finishings we know and love from the brand. “The color palette definitely expands our blue, grey, and black tones that we have become known for with some great new highlight and base colors,” Kinross designer Christian Arkins tells MR. “This season, expect to see a fresh sage-military green, a rich Bordeaux-wine melange, a pine-forest green melange, and winter-berry melange among a few others.”

Arkins also notes that there are several new versions of the brand’s best-selling plaited and 1/4 zip styles, as well as a great range of mid-fine gauge sweater styles with a few chunkier bodies. He is also continuing to build on the modern classic, chic-metropolitan look of the brand that Arkins has been instilling for the past few seasons. A good example of this is Kinross’s new modernized-plaid 1/4 zip, a new take on a knitted “plaid” pattern.

“While the collection is a bit cleaner this season, the smart-casual feel comes across strongly; dress up and down easily was my thought,” Arkins adds.  “A few of the stand-out conceptual styles are our updated ‘garment dye/sprayed’ cashmere styles, our-mid gauge rib zip hoodie, and a super cool blazer-cardi which is the perfect balance between a tailored and a comfy layer-able cardigan style. My personal favorite, though, is our new amazing camo-printed crewneck in our luxurious 100 percent cashmere.”

Retail prices for this collection range from $285 to $595. Check Kinross out this weekend at the Javits Center.
