KSUBI LAUNCHES COLLABORATION WITH NBA’S PATTY MILLS

For a limited capsule collection, fashion label Ksubi has teamed up with NBA champion and Olympic medalist Patrick ‘Patty’ Mills. Born from the domestic leagues in Australia, Mills’ achievements as an NBA Champion and Olympic medalist are a testament to his unrivaled commitment and attention to detail when honing his on-court craft and off-court style. A mainstay at Fashion Weeks worldwide, Patty’s consistent delivery of expressive, elevated looks in the NBA tunnel has cemented him as a global style icon. The intersection of fashion and basketball has inevitably led to the two Australian icons coming together as part of a longer-term partnership, championing the triumph of the creative outsider.

The 12-piece collection offers both menswear and womenswear pieces inspired by authentic workwear. Underpinned by one of Patty’s signature phrases, “Be Where Your Feet Are,” the collection reinforces Ksubi and Mills’ shared ethos of being present and undeterred while forging one’s own path.

Paying tribute to his Indigenous heritage and unsung Australian heroes, Patty’s collection brings together elements of heritage and modernity, telling stories of generations past and present. The collection features earth tones emulating the rugged Australian landscape and traditional workwear silhouettes.

A matching denim jacket and jeans with Ksubi’s signature distressing and repair detailing nod to the durable denim uniforms worn by his ancestors, who worked as pearl divers. A basketball-inspired coat adorned with Patty’s NBA number 88 and a resort set brings his signature graphics to popular Ksubi styles.

The collection offers four womenswear pieces, recognizing some of the most inspirational people in Patty’s life: his wife, Alyssa, his mum, and iconic Olympian Cathy Freeman. Denim pieces include the Low Rider Cargo jeans and denim skirt, alongside two tanks available in khaki and ash colorways, adding a feminine touch to the workwear aesthetic.
