LUXURY BRANDS PARTNER WITH NETFLIX ON EXCLUSIVE COLLECTIONS INSPIRED BY NEW SERIES “THE GENTLEMEN”
Four luxury brands—Ettinger London, Truefitt & Hill, Henry Poole & Co Savile Row, and Avantcha Tea—have partnered with Netflix to create an exclusive collection of typically British products for the new series “The Gentlemen.” An adaption of Guy Ritchie’s 2019 movie, the series promises to take viewers into a world where aristocracy and world-class criminals collide, featuring actors Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, and Ray Winstone.
To bring the series’ world to life, Netflix has partnered with the brands to create products central to the plotline. Each brand embodies British craftsmanship, high quality, and traditions, creating a product that characterizes an element of the series.
Ettinger
Ettinger—one of the few remaining luxury leather goods companies still manufacturing in the UK—created a sleek collection of leather accessories for The Gentlemen Capsule Collection. The collection includes limited edition iterations of a wallet, card case, pill case, hip flask, travel shoe horn, and watch roll, retailing for between $100 and $450. Each is made using black goat leather and features the Halstead family shield. All products are available to purchase at The Gentlemen – Ettinger London.
Truefitt & Hill
As Eddie Horniman, the Duke of Halstead’s character, smolders throughout the hotly anticipated series, British heritage male grooming brand Truefitt & Hill, is reminded of similar swells and bucks who continue to pass through its haloed doors. Suitably packaged with crest and regal embellishment, The Gentlemen Sandalwood from Truefitt & Hill packs a punch of lavender with a rich top note of lemon and bergamot that plays with the more anchored base note of sandalwood, musk, and amber. The collection includes cologne, aftershave balm, a shaving cream bowl, and pre-shave oil, all retailing for around $30 to $100.
Henry Poole & Co. Savile Row
Traditional Savile Row bespoke tailors Henry Poole & Co. chose items that are at once traditional yet ideally suited to the wardrobe of the modern, well-dressed man. Chain-link cufflinks feature the stag, which forms the crest atop the Halstead family arms (around $200). A 70/30 silk/wool scarf incorporates a design referencing elements from the show in navy on an ivory ground and reverses to lightweight wool in matching navy (around $320).
Luxury tea brand Avantcha has also created a unique tea blend for the project, including a classic, smooth Majestic Earl Grey, and a spicy, surprising Chocolate Chilli
The Gentlemen releases today, March 7th, 2024, and is co-produced by Netflix, Moonage Pictures, and Miramax TV. Matthew Read is co-writer with Guy Ritchie. Executive Producers are Guy Ritchie, Matthew Read, Marn Davies, and Ivan Atkinson, with Marc Helwig for Miramax TV, and Will Gould and Frith Tiplady for Moonage Pictures.
