MENSWEAR’S BEST DRESSED – SPENCER SINGER OF PROJECT
You’ve definitely seen him on the menswear circuit. You’ve probably also thought you saw him when actually you saw his twin brother Matt. You might have had entire conversations with his twin brother thinking it was him (@mrmatthewsinger). NBD. We met up with Spencer Singer (it was definitely him, he assured us so) at Pitti Uomo and asked him, among other things, about his style.
1) Like, why’re you so stylish?
I owe a lot of my style sensibility to my dad, Lloyd Singer He constantly always been on the pulse. No secret, but I think it’s that I’m not afraid to try new things constantly.
2) What does your job in menswear entail?
The sales and curation of Project trade show. Providing brands and retailers an arena to do great business.
3) Is your sense of style informed by your position? If so, how?
It’s not. But it does expose me to a lot of great product that in return keeps me current with what’s going on.
4) How has your sense of style evolved recently?
It’s constantly evolving and changing with the times. Recently though, I’ve been favoring more of the advanced contemporary world and integrating that into my daily wardrobe.
5) What are your go to brands right now and why?
My go to brands consist of prices I’ve had in my closet forever. Definitely Martin Margiela, Michael Bastian and Missoni. They are made well, fit me great and truly stand the test of time.
6) Do you think your brother is more or less stylish and why?
Haha! I think we both have a strong sense style but each bring something different to the table.
