MIssoni Malibu SandalsSouthern California-based sandal brand Malibu Sandals has partnered with with luxury Italian house Missoni to debut a line of men’s sandals that are currently available online at malibusandals.com. The contemporary, yet culturally rich style of the Huarache sandal has been blended with Missoni’s colorful palette to create a unique design that integrates fashion and utility.

This new line of sandals which integrates six colors adding a signature Missoni touch, made its debut on the runway during the Missoni’s spring/summer 2016 fashion show in Milan.

“The modern Huarache sandals were born out of a void in the marketplace for something unique and innovative, yet familiar,” said Kevin O’Neill, founder of Malibu Sandals. “Adopting the century old hand-woven details and primal design of the classic Huarache pattern, we have combined contemporary techniques to provide casual performance and comfort features. We are excited to have partnered with Missoni in order to bring this line of sandals to the market.”

Malibu’s handmade sandals are made of synthetic leather and nylon, with a water-based glue and retail for $150. In support of the California Wildlife Center’s mission to “Be Kind to Animals. Don’t Wear Them,” Malibu Sandals donates one percent of all net proceeds to help the center’s cause.
