NANUSHKA EXPLORES THE CONNECTION BETWEEN HUMANITY AND NATURE FOR SPRING

by Stephen Garner

Following the resort 2021 collection, Nanushka concludes its intimate study of the relationship between humanity and nature with its second part for spring/summer 2021, titled “Natural Order.”

The interaction between the natural world and human existence within it is a long-standing theme treasured by Nanushka. For this season, that has gone deeper still in its resonance. Where resort 2021 hinted a pause and a moment of contemplation, spring 2021 is framed by direct and urgent connection of the two worlds. The emphasis is on a range and collection that is not only inspired by the natural world, but works with it, powerfully through design cues and conscious craftsmanship.

The brand chose to use more responsible fabrics this season, with approximately 48 percent of the collection being sustainable, with materials that are directly aligned to comfort, function, and a sensory experience.

Menswear continues the exploration started in resort 2021 of expressive patterns; summer knits; lightweight merino; and regenerated and vegan leathers. Relaxing yet refined short-sleeve shirts mesh perfectly with tailoring, denim, and seasonal outerwear for a confident, contemporary aesthetic.
