NEW BALANCE AND PF FLYERS CREATE COLLECTION INSPIRED BY ‘THE SANDLOT’
In honor of the 25th anniversary of iconic baseball movie The Sandlot, New Balance and PF Flyers on a special edition collection. And, in celebration of the anniversary of PF Flyers’ iconic Sandlot Center Hi top sneaker and its deep-rooted place in baseball nostalgia, to create two unique cleats and a limited-edition baseball tee.
The Sandlot Center Cleat features a reinforced canvas upper, REVlite midsole, and a big-league proven sole unit (available in metal and composite). The Baseball Sandlot Tee is made of a soft yet, strong cotton poly and emblazoned with PF Flyers’ iconic heritage tag. This limited capsule embodies the spirit of play and good-natured competition in PF Flyers’ classic tag, “Run Faster, Jump Higher,” and marks the first time New Balance and PF Flyers have partnered on a performance shoe.
And, to celebrate the upcoming 25th anniversary of the movie The Sandlot, PF Flyers has partnered with 20th Century Fox’s Consumer Products team to launch a 1:1 recreation of the shoe Benny wears in the movie. This limited-edition style is constructed of 10 oz. duck canvas and features a vertically ribbed toe bumper, printed medial ankle patch, retro-styled shoe box, and a “Run Faster, Jump Higher” insole.
The entire capsule is produced in limited quantities and available exclusively on newbalance.com, pfflyers.com and at select Dick’s Sporting Goods locations starting Saturday, April 7.
