As San Francisco-based Convert’s Randy Brewer told us in MR’s July issue, “For spring 2016, I want to move forward with new colors, patterns and a return to interesting dress shoes. Think Euro-chic, not trashy.” We saw lots of fresh ideas in dress shoes during New York market week. Footwear brands are showing modern takes on classic silhouettes. Whether it’s interesting soles like latex cork edges from Northern Cobbler or super flexible, pony hair loafers from Galet, the abundance of exquisite footwear options did not disappoint. Here, some of my favorites from Northern Cobbler, Uri Minkoff, Anthony Miles, Galet, Res Ispa and Crosby Square.
