NEW YORK MEN’S DAY NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SEPTEMBER 2023 EVENT
New York Men’s Day (NYMD) — the twice-yearly event exclusively dedicated to emerging men’s and genderless talent in New York City — is now accepting applications for its September 2023 edition (date to be confirmed). This season is NYMD’s 20th and serves as the kick-off to Spring 2024 New York Fashion Week.
Conceived to nurture emerging talent and consolidate top menswear/genderless designers in an easy-to-view venue, NYMD features 12 designers collectively. Each participating designer presents in an individual studio space designed to highlight the label’s identity and inspiration. Taking place simultaneously over two-hour periods, 12 brands will present for the entire day, six designers in the morning session, and six in the late afternoon. The format of showcasing all presentations at the same time creates ease of flow for media, buyers, influencers, and VIPs, allowing them to move through studios and spend time with designers.
In addition to the physical event, all 12 brands will also feature their spring/summer 2024 collection lookbook images and/or videos on the CFDA’s RUNWAY360 digital platform. RUNWAY360 continues to be the online destination for domestic and international press, retailers, and industry to discover the latest collections of participating official NYFW schedule brands and designers. NYMD draws a diverse and influential large audience, including fashion industry insiders, buyers, stylists and editors. Designers who are selected to participate in the event will receive extensive media coverage, a chance to meet and showcase their work to potential buyers, and an opportunity to network with industry professionals. NYMD covers the cost of 85% of presentation costs for each chosen designer.
