Nike Promotes Spillane to GM, Global Footwear

Nike has promoted the general manager of its Greater China business Michael Spillane to VP and GM of Global Footwear. He will report to president of Global Product and Merchandising Jeanne Jackson.
“Michael is a proven leader whose vision was instrumental in driving growth in Greater China,” said Jackson in a statement. “As head of global footwear, we look forward to Michael continuing to drive our footwear agenda for consumers worldwide.”
Spillane, a 25-year veteran of the footwear business, has been CEO of two Nike divisions, Converse and Umbro.
Stepping in as Greater China boss is Angela Dong, the CFO of Nike’s Greater China business. Dong will report to Elliott Hill, Nike’s president of Geographies and Sales.
