nordstromNordstrom has partnered with prepaid commerce solution company CashStar to launch a new, convenient way for gift givers to give their recipients exactly what they want this holiday. Through product e-gifting, customers can shop at Nordstrom.com, select a gift and then send the gift with a personal message directly to its recipient by email.

When the recipient is notified by email with a personal message and gift description. The recipient is then prompted to personalize the details of their e-gift like size, color and shipping address. If for some reason the recipient doesn’t like the product, they have the option to receive a digital gift card without having to notify the sender.

“Starting with the holiday season, Nordstrom is excited to offer customers eGifting as another easy way to pick a thoughtful gift for anyone on their list on short notice,” said Sean Burrow, director, gift card at Nordstrom. “Once the recipient receives it, they can personalize the gift to tailor to their needs or if they prefer, select another gift or opt to receive the value as a gift card. We’re glad that we had a great partner in CashStar to help launch this new program and deliver a great experience for our customers.”

“Nordstrom has become a powerful and successful brand because of its unwavering commitment to providing an amazing customer experience and continuous innovation,” added Ben Kaplan, president and CEO of CashStar. “This commitment is reflected in Nordstrom’s desire to use CashStar’s prepaid commerce platform to power Product eGifting for their customers. They’re a terrific partner and we’re excited to work on this new opportunity with them.”
