NORDSTROM TO ADD 11,800 SEASONAL JOBS IN U.S. AND CANADA
Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. has announced that it will hire approximately 11,800 seasonal employees. Some jobs may become permanent.
Nordstrom and its off-price division Nordstrom Rack will hire approximately 10,000 people in sales and stock positions at its 120 Nordstrom stores in the U.S. and Canada and its 188 Nordstrom Rack stores in the U.S.
The company will hire approximately 1,600 people to support the company’s ecommerce business at its fulfillment centers located in Iowa, Pennsylvania and California. An additional 150 seasonal roles will be added at HauteLook in Los Angeles and approximately 100 people will be hired at the Chicago facilities of its men’s styling service, Trunk Club.
“We want to provide the best possible service experience, no matter how our customers choose to shop with us and that takes good people,” said Jamie Nordstrom, president of stores, Nordstrom, Inc. in a statement. “A lot of Nordstrom employees began their careers in a temporary or seasonal role. It’s one of the best ways to get your foot in the door, gain some great experience and we hope, begin a career with our company.”
