NYFWM: CAPSULE
With the CFDA’s express commitment to working closely with American trade shows, it made sense but was at the same time surprising to see Capsule on the NYFWM schedule. Given that Capsule is known for presenting some of the most progressive brands of the major trade shows, expectations of the multi-brand presentation were high, and the show did not disappoint: brands Maiden Noir, CMMN SWDN, Second/Layer, Camo and Blackfist each presented strong edited selections from their SS16 collections; Baartmans and Siegel were notable for their typically well made and directional outerwear; and Matthew Miller’s blush colored tailored looks were a personal standout.
