ONES TO WATCH: LUCKY PANTS

by Stephen Garner

Will Chapman, Freddie and Charlie Villiers, brothers and life-long friends from London, spent 3 years sourcing suppliers in search of the perfect fabric, before settling on a sustainable eco-friendly blend of micro modal and elastane, sourced and created in Porto, Portugal. Having officially launched a year ago, Lucky Pants is now ready to grow into the next phase of its business.

“The brand name is our biggest asset,” says Charlie. “Everyone has that pair of socks and underwear that means a little bit more to them. The pair they wear when they have a big meeting or job interview, first date or wedding day or even just a weekend or Monday morning and that is what peaks most people’s interest. Everyone is looking for that extra one to two percent and we can be that for them.”

The styles are all inspired by Saville Row. “This was because when men wear suits we all feel a couple of inches taller, our chests puffed out and we wanted to recreate that feeling every time you wore Lucky Pants. So, the dogtooth pattern is an old, heritage design from Saville Row and our Liberty Print tab is inspired by the pocket square you would have in your top pocket.

Both the ‘Dogtooth’ and ‘Classic’ boxer brief collection are made from a micro-modal fabric that is shrink-resistant, lightweight, anti-odor and paired with a wide-cut waistband and contrasting Liberty London label, taking inspiration from the suit and pocket-square. While always on the lookout for improvements, the team believes they’ve designed the ultimate throne for your crown jewels.

Next season, expect to find two more additional styles added to the brand’s men’s range as well as the launch of a female range by the summer of 2020.
