ONIA AND THEORY TEAM UP AGAIN ON SWIMWEAR CAPSULE
Luxury resort wear brand Onia and elevated ready-to-wear essentials brand Theory have teamed up yet again to offer a curated selection of digital prints and textured fabrics for the upcoming summer season.
The two New York City brands are expanding their collaboration from last summer to offer both men’s and women’s swimwear. Swim trunks for men will feature digital prints from the Theory summer 2017 collection as well as complementing seersucker and solids. Styles include an 8-inch snap front bonded, four-way stretch, a 5-inch full elastic waistband and a 5-inch board short. All styles feature chlorine-tested, water-repellent fabrics and finishings.
The women’s offerings will include one and two-piece styles that highlight beautifully textured fabrics from Italy, sleek shapes and prints on carefully crafted swimwear. Women’s retail prices range of from $85 for separates to $225 for one piece styles and men’s swim trunks start at $140 for solids to $175 for prints.
“We wanted to partner with a local New York brand that was a natural fit with a similar aesthetic – A brand that also focuses on fit and function and uses the finest fabrics with attention to detail,” said Carl Cunow, co-founder of Onia. “Theory, as a leader in their market on all these fronts, was the perfect match for this collaboration.”
“Partnering with Onia is an organic extension, as both of our brands create products that are well-designed and functional for every day,” added Andrew Rosen, founder and CEO of Theory.
The limited edition collaboration pieces will sell exclusively at Theory stores and on Theory.com worldwide starting this Memorial Day.
