ORIGINAL PENGUIN LAUNCHES DENIM WITH HELP FROM ADRIANO GOLDSCHMIED
Original Penguin by Munsingwear has launched its first full denim line in collaboration with icon Adriano Goldschmied for fall 2019. This collaboration combines Goldschmied’s denim expertise with the wit and heritage of Original Penguin.
Goldschmied personally developed the collection’s premium washes in the North American home of denim, Los Angeles. The collection’s inspiration combines classic American denim styling from the ’50s with the benefits of modern stretch technology.
The five-pocket denim assortment is available in three key fabrications – 9.3 oz Garment Dye Bull Denim, 9.5 oz LightWeight Indigo Denim, and a 12 oz Indigo Wash range of Blue Diamond Denim; all of which have the added benefit of stretch, perfect for moving and grooving. The jeans come in an array of colored and indigo washes, all in the perfect fit – “The Dune Slim Fit” featuring a 14 ½” leg opening. Two vintage wash denim jackets and fun graphic novelty tees pair back perfectly to the jeans bringing the collection full circle.
The collection offers Original Penguin’s signature wit – showcased with internal trims and details. Look for hidden novelty at the fly label and wearer’s left pocket bag, as well as the Original Penguin “Pete” at the coin pocket rivet.
