ORIGINAL PENGUIN WANTS YOU TO HELP CLEAN UP THE OCEANS

by Stephen Garner

Original Penguin has launched its 5th-annual Project #ShareConservation, in partnership with non-profit organization Oceana. The menswear brand is continuing on with this project to raise awareness and funds for the conservation of marine life, including penguins.  This year’s partnership with Oceana focuses on spreading awareness about the threat of plastic waste to our world’s oceans.

Last year, Original Penguin worked with Oceana by supporting its campaign work in La Higuera, Chile, a biodiversity hotspot, that is home to 80 percent of the world’s rare Humbolt Penguins.  Through Project #ShareConservation, Original Penguin raised $30,000, which was donated to Oceana.

The Original Penguin team is working to further its conservation impact this year. The brand will donate $1 every time the video is shared on Facebook.  The popular menswear brand will also be contributing to reducing plastic use/waste by offering a free foldable, and reusable straw to customers when they spend over $125 in-store.
