PERSOL LAUNCHES COLLABORATION WITH A.P.C.

by Stephen Garner

Persol has announced its first collaboration in half a century with A.P.C. launching for the spring/summer 2020 season.

A special campaign was shot by Sam Rock at the A.P.C. headquarters featuring A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou, musician Sky Ferreira, and singer Joseph Mount from the band Metronomy.

For the first time collaborating with another brand half a century, Persol worked with A.P.C. on three color variants of their iconic 649 model. Originally designed in 1957 for tram-drivers in Torino, Italy, the iconic style became legendary when Marcello Mastroianni wore them in the movie Divorce, Italian Style in 1961.

Persol has been worn by international actors, actresses and directors both on and off-screen since the golden age of Hollywood and remains a favored brand of the most relevant names in fashion and film. To this day, Persol is revered as an indelible mark of style by cultural tastemakers around the globe.
