PROENZA SCHOULER DUO TO SUCCEED JONATHAN ANDERSON AS CREATIVE DIRECTORS AT LOEWE
Loewe has appointed Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez from Proenza Schouler to become the new creative director at the brand following the widely published exit of Jonathan Anderson who is expected to take on a new role at Dior.
The pair stated, “We are incredibly honored to join Loewe, a house whose values and mission align closely with our own.”
They will assume full creative control on April 7th at which time they will step down from the very brand they founded, Proenza Schouler almost 25 years ago. The two will helm Loewe following the extraordinary success of Anderson who has notably been in charge of its extraordinary growth over the last 11 years.
They continued in their statement, “We look forward to working alongside its extraordinary teams and artisans, whose talent – under the exceptional creative direction of Jonathan Anderson – has shaped Loewe into the cultural force it is today. We extend our sincere gratitude to Bernard Arnault, Delphine Arnault, Sidney Toledano, and to Pascale Lepoivre for entrusting us with this remarkable house’s next chapter,”
CEO Pascale Lepoivre added, “Jack and Lazaro’s vision and creativity are a perfect match for the codes of the house that we have built.”
