Project trade show has announced new team appointments as well as January dates and location for the return of its men’s-focused event, Project New York. Premiering at a new downtown location in the heart of New York City’s Flatiron District, the event will coincide with the start of men’s market week in New York City for 2022.

Returning on January 26th and 27th, Project New York will be hosted at Iron 23, located at 29 West 23rd Street at the crossroads of the bustling Flatiron and Chelsea neighborhoods of Manhattan. The event will feature an edited assortment of domestic and international advanced contemporary men’s brands and will draw an exclusive audience of influential retail buyers eager to shop new collections for the upcoming and immediate seasons. Highlighted categories across apparel, footwear, and accessories will include advanced contemporary, emerging designer, artisanal workwear, denim, new-age tailoring, elevated streetwear, and digitally-native brands.

“This past year, for me, has been all about the power of community and how we rise together to overcome and excel,” said Brian Trunzo vice president of Informa Markets Fashion’s men’s portfolio. “By putting community first with a two-day event, we’re emphasizing togetherness and creating an ‘open-sourced’ environment primed for an explosion of new ideas and information sharing, organic reconnection, and greater discovery.”

The trade show has also tapped industry veteran Mordechai Rubinstein to lead retail relations efforts for the men’s portfolio. As a notable figure in the menswear space – with previous positions held at Levi’s, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, and Men’s Vogue and regularly featured in the New York Times, GQ, and Wall Street Journal – his deep industry connections and expansive expertise will further drive the development of high-value programs and initiatives for the Project community.

“Mordechai’s level of expertise and understanding of the nuanced needs of the menswear market is unmatched,” added Trunzo. “He’s a great addition to the consultative and collaborative approach of the Project team; bringing more personalized, white-glove services that more effectively connect retailers and brands, but also further emboldening and growing the Project community.”

In addition to its New York show, Project will also hold its dual-gender Vegas show from February 14th-16th, as well as its Tokyo event March 16th-17th.
