Puerto Rican shoe retailer Novus Inc. has entered the American market. With over 40 years of experience and 60 stores in Puerto Rico, Novus will open its first U.S. store is in the Pembroke Lakes Mall in the suburbs of Miami, Florida.

Sandra Castellon, Grupo Novus Marketing Director, said: “Novus is aware of the importance of the South Florida market and the large Puerto Rican population of more than 300,000 currently residing in the area that has a close identification with the brand. With this expansion into the U.S., we will now be able to offer Novus’s excellence to the communities in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.”

Novus will be releasing its new prototype store with the U.S. opening.  It was designed by ADV Alvarez Diaz Villalon considering the needs of the customer and the current trends in design and decoration. The store reflects the modernism that characterizes Novus, with its variety of materials and colors such as wood, metal, and the company’s distinctive shades of red.

The company has also made a significant investment in technology to soon offer a better experience with the “pick up at store” service so that customers can select the merchandise on the website or mobile phone and then pick it up at their favorite store. Also, premiering in January, will be the mobile payment system where customers can pay for their purchases without having to wait in line at the store.
