Tommy Hilfiger celebrated its global brand ambassadorship with iconic tennis star Rafael Nadal at a pop-up tennis tournament in Stuttgart, Germany, at Breuninger’s flagship store on November 10. Nadal played two rapid-fire rounds on a spectacular “floating” tennis court, which was specially installed in the Karlspassage Lighthall on the first floor of the luxury department store. The 14-time Grand Slam winner is the face of Tommy Hilfiger underwear, tailored and fragrance, and is featured in the brand’s Fall 2015 campaigns which launched in August with a pop-up tennis tournament in the heart of New York City.

Nadal faced off in several racy rounds of tennis with German models Janis Danner, Sara Nuru and Stefanie Giesinger. Nuru and Geisinger wore cute outfits from the spring 2016 Hilfiger collection – while Danner and Nadal wore a Tommy Hilfiger Tailored suit. Each time a team scored a point, their opponents removed a piece of clothing, eventually unveiling the new Tommy Hilfiger men’s and women’s underwear designs. German model and TV host Alena Gerber hosted the event from the umpire’s seat – in an outfit from the Fall 15 Hilfiger Collection – as Nadal achieved victory.

“I love how this event brings together fashion and sport with Tommy’s signature twist – it’s the perfect way to celebrate my partnership with Tommy Hilfiger,” said Nadal.

“Our partnership with Rafael brings one of the greatest athletes of this generation into our Tommy family,” said Hilfiger. “Rafael really exemplifies our brand spirit: fun, cool, and never too serious.”
