Reda’s 150th Anniversary Expo is Coming to New York City
Italian fabric company Reda is bringing its traveling exhibition to New York next Tuesday for one night only.
Created to mark the company’s 150th anniversary this year, the multimedia display was produced in collaboration with The Woolmark Company and celebrates Reda textiles made from Merino wool. It includes light boxes, yarns suspended in the air, a series of photographs that will appear in the company’s forthcoming anniversary book called “150” and large screen projections of the mill’s high-tech machinery.
It will debut in Manhattan at an invitation-only cocktail event at Trunk Club’s midtown brick-and-mortar store at the Villard Houses at 457 Madison Avenue. The shop has a custom lounge by Gladson Ltd, an HMS International Fabrics company. HMS is the agent and sole distributor of Reda fabrics in the USA.
The presentation premiered in Milan in February and then moved to London. It will conclude in Berlin in November.
Reda’s 2013 turnover was 70 million euros, 80 percent of which came from export sales. The company will exhibit at the new Milano Unica fabric show during Textile Week/men’s market in New York July 20 to 22.
