Retail Sector Recovering Faster Than Expected

Seven months into 2021, the retail sector has bounced back from the lows witnessed during the peak of the pandemic that left stores shuttered for weeks. Although there is a long way to go, the recovery is taking place faster than expected. According to Mastercard SpendingPulse, retail sales increased in July for the 11th consecutive month, indicating that the economy is on track for a speedy recovery.
