SAKS FIFTH AVENUE REVEALS HOLIDAY WINDOWS AT NEW YORK FLAGSHIP

by John Russel Jones

Following the launch of Saks Fifth Avenue’s ‘Gifts of Delight’ holiday campaign, the luxury retailer has revealed its holiday windows at its New York City flagship. Fashion takes center stage, spotlighting pastel-colored designs reminiscent of a trove of festive macarons from designers such as Prada, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Loewe, and more against a wintry, crystalline backdrop. Timed to the iconic flagship’s 100th anniversary, the dazzling windows are framed by an elegantly illuminated facade and glistening garland to highlight the structural grandeur of the landmark building. The festivity continues inside, where customers can discover the Saks Fifth Avenue High Jewelry collection, exhibited on the main floor for the first time, as well as the Saks Holiday Market, a special Ralph’s Coffee holiday shop, and a new, limited-time holiday menu at L’Avenue at Saks.

“The holiday season is a special and important time for Saks, and we are excited to debut our holiday windows, which aim to inspire customers through a compelling fashion narrative,” said Emily Essner, Chief Marketing Officer, Saks. “As a leading luxury destination, and in our 100th year, we are focused on delivering a memorable holiday shopping experience and spreading joy through new, only-at-Saks offerings and an expertly curated assortment from the most sought-after brands in fashion.”

Holiday Windows

On view through January 5, 2025, the store’s holiday windows are transformed into an icy winter wonderland, evoking curiosity, delight, and holiday spirit. Oversized snowflakes, dichroic vinyl, and silver reflective flooring magnify the exceptional craftsmanship and embellishment of the featured styles.

An illuminated facade outlines the windows with festive garland and a brilliant display of shimmering lights, while oversized “Saks” logos light up each entrance on Fifth Avenue. A holiday musical medley resounds from the building. For the fifteenth consecutive year, Saks’ holiday windows and illuminated New York flagship are presented by Mastercard.

Saks Fifth Avenue High Jewelry Collection Exhibit

Starting December 5, Saks Fifth Avenue will showcase its high jewelry collection in an installation on the main floor of the New York flagship for the first time. One-of-a-kind pieces will be showcased inside the installation on a rotating basis over the course of five weeks. Nodding to Saks’ 100th anniversary, the exhibit will first display a rare 100-carat pear-shaped stone on a diamond necklace, followed by additional pieces totaling more than 100 carats.

The exhibit will consist of five layers of hollow light illuminations that highlight the beauty of the precious diamonds. At the same time, glass side walls provide additional lighting and emphasize details of each piece. Customers can also scan a QR code featured on the display to schedule an appointment to shop the pieces in a personalized setting.

Ralph’s Coffee Holiday Shop

Ralph’s Coffee is open in the flagship until January 1, 2025. The seasonal shop is located on the main floor across from the Saks Holiday Market.

L’avenue At Saks

L’Avenue at Saks has debuted a seasonal snowflake menu featuring limited-edition holiday treats.

● For the first time, L’Avenue at Saks will unveil a signature hot chocolate and snowflake-shaped gingerbread cookies decorated with white sugar icing.
● To further mirror the snowflake motifs featured in the New York flagship’s holiday windows, L’Avenue at Saks has also adorned its Cheesecake and Sakspresso Martini with snowflake garnishes, made of edible gold spray and cocoa powder.
● The Ornament, a treasured seasonal dessert inspired by festive trees, will also return to L’Avenue at Saks, delighting guests with its decadent dark chocolate and peppermint flavors.

Located on the ninth floor of the New York flagship, guests can enjoy stunning views of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree while dining at L’Avenue at Saks. The restaurant’s cozy, Alps-inspired lounge, Le Chalet at Saks, provides an “Après-Ski” escape to enjoy post-dinner cocktails and pastries by the roaring fireplace.
