SARTORIA STUDIO LAUNCHES IN SOHO: NYC’S NEWEST HABERDASHERY LEADS MADE-TO-MEASURE RENAISSANCE

Made-to-measure suiting takes on a new edge in SoHo with the launch of Sartoria Studio, a men’s fashion retail concept from longtime collaborators Jack Menashe and James Mansour, the visionaries behind New York’s iconic Limelight Marketplace, LOUNGE SoHo, and countless other iconic New York City retail destinations. The modern haberdashery and style lab is on a mission to help men develop and discover their own unique fashion identities, offering Italian-tailored, made-to-measure clothing with a unique downtown sartorial point-of-view, along with a selection of premium ready-to-wear apparel and accessories.

Inspired by the intimate, relaxed club environment of the heritage Florentine workshops long admired by store founder and CEO Jack Menashe, he says “Sartoria Studio brings the experience of the best Italian tailoring to SoHo, offering the most luxurious fabrics, hand finishes, and the precision fit you can only get from a made-to-measure garment.” The sophisticated store also reflects the founder’s determination to inject much-needed personality into fine made-to-measure menswear.

Long recognized for his unique style, with Sartoria Studio, Menashe says, “Men often tell me that they’d like to know how to dress better but they just don’t know where to start. They crave trusted advice.

That is why we employ a team of skilled stylists in addition to our on-site tailor, to help our clients button everything up and take their look to the next level.”

Whether a custom tuxedo, suit, sport jacket, or oxford shirt, each bench-crafted Sartoria Studio garment is designed to impress and constructed to last using only the finest materials from leading textile mills including Loro Piana, Dormeuil, Drapers by Vitale Barberis Canonico, Caccioppoli Napoli, Holland & Sherry, and more. Made-to-order apparel can be further customized with a range of elevated trims and embellishments like hand-stitched bone or mother-of-pearl buttons, custom monograms, and premium accessories such as the house’s own hand-stitched cashmere and silk pocket squares.

In addition to samples and ready-to-wear men’s accessories, premium denim, and attire from the likes of Thomas Mason, the lounge gallery also features a rotating exhibition of limited-edition collectibles, artworks, and design objects. According to designer James Mansour, Principal of Mansour Design, “The intimate club-style interior expresses that ephemeral spirit of sprezzatura—quintessentially cool, unmistakably Italian nonchalance—layered with the textures, colors, and flavors of New York city’s resurgent SoHo district.” Menashe also tapped Mansour to develop the Sartoria Studio brand identity.

The haberdashery, located at 65-69 West Houston Street at the corner of Wooster Street, welcomes clients seven days a week, whether a walk-in or private appointment. Those booking private appointments can expect a pampering experience, with the chance to enjoy catered fare and beverages courtesy of the Studio’s own private chef. The seamless experience also extends after hours with off-site fittings, sample deliveries, and on-call styling advice from the company’s styling concierges available upon request.
